Pandemic Insights: Lydia Maunz on Lessons from WWI Writers

The Obermann Center for Advanced Studies is asking its community of scholars and artists to reflect on the COVID-19 pandemic through the lens of their research for a new video series titled Pandemic Insights: Scholars and Artists Reflect on the COVID Crisis.

In this video, Lydia Maunz, a PhD candidate in English, shares her work on women’s writing about grief and dying during WWI in parallel to our current period of being disconnected from death. Lydia is a former Obermann Graduate Fellow and is a member of the Humanities for the Public Good Advisory Board.
