Táimse im’ Chodladh for four cellos
Eva Richards, MA (2020), School of Music
“Táimse im’ Chodladh” is a traditional Irish slow air. The title basically translates to “I am asleep and do not waken me” (maybe how I feel about this semester…). Being back in Northern Ireland after being away for so long has sort of been a catalyst for reimagining traditional Irish music for cello in different combinations.
